1. Who we are

Islamic Baby Names is developed and published by Apposite Labs Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17153038), with registered office at Office 9633, 321-323 High Road, Chadwell Heath, Essex, RM6 6AX, UK.

By downloading or using this app, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Who can use the app

This app is intended for use by adults aged 13 and over. By using the app you confirm that you are at least 13 years old. The app is designed for parents, families and individuals researching Islamic baby names. It is not directed at children.

3. What the app does and does not do

Islamic Baby Names provides a searchable library of Islamic baby names with meanings, Arabic script, phonetic pronunciation and Islamic scholarly references, AI-powered name discovery, and a family voting feature.

The app does not provide religious rulings, fatwas or scholarly legal opinions. All name content, meanings and Islamic references are provided for informational purposes only. We have taken care to curate accurate content, but we make no warranty as to its completeness or correctness. Always verify important decisions with a qualified scholar or trusted source.

4. Intellectual property

All app content, design, code, name data, Arabic text, phonetics, meanings and Islamic references are the intellectual property of Apposite Labs Ltd or our content providers. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or create derivative works from any part of the app without our written permission.

When you enter free-text content into the app, you retain ownership of that content. By submitting it, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process it solely to generate name suggestions for you. We do not store, sell or use your free-text inputs for any other purpose.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the app to:

• Submit content that is offensive, discriminatory, obscene or unlawful
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile or extract the source code of the app
• Use the app in any way that could damage, overload or impair our systems or services
• Attempt to circumvent any advertising, paywall or content gate within the app
• Use automated tools, bots or scripts to interact with the app

We reserve the right to restrict access to the app for users who violate these terms.

6. AI-generated content

The app uses AI to generate or rank name suggestions based on your preferences. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete or unexpected
• We do not guarantee that AI-suggested names, meanings or references are correct
• AI outputs are suggestions only — you are responsible for verifying any name before use
• We are not liable for any decision made on the basis of AI-generated content

7. Name Vote feature

The Name Vote feature allows you to create or join a shared voting session with other people. By using Name Vote you acknowledge that:

• You are responsible for who you share your invite code with
• Display names and saved names you contribute are visible to all members of that session
• We do not moderate or review the content of Name Vote sessions
• We are not responsible for the conduct of other users within a session
• Vote sessions are deleted automatically after a period of inactivity

8. Advertising

The app is free to download and is supported by advertising. By using the app you acknowledge that advertisements will be displayed during normal use, some features require watching a rewarded video to unlock, and we are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements.

9. In-app purchases and subscriptions

The app currently operates on a free, ad-supported model. If premium features or subscriptions are introduced in future, separate terms will apply and will be clearly communicated before purchase. All purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are subject to the respective platform's terms and refund policies.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the content will be accurate, complete or up to date.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Apposite Labs Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the app.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the app shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim. As the app is currently free, this amount is zero.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by English law.

12. Third-party services

The app integrates third-party services for AI processing, advertising, analytics, infrastructure, and crash reporting. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy or conduct of any third-party service.

13. App store terms

The app is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Your download and use of the app is also subject to the terms of the relevant platform.

• Apple: These terms are between you and Apposite Labs Ltd only, not Apple Inc. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
• Google: These terms are between you and Apposite Labs Ltd only, not Google LLC.

14. Changes to the app and these terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue the app or any feature at any time without notice, and to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. For material changes, we will notify you within the app where reasonably practicable.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the app shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

16. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
